D'eth

Vast arid region on the northern border of Varg down to Ostar, largely desert.

Sparsely populated by a largely nomadic people known collectively as the D'ethi they are actually made up of many tribes.

The coastal region of D'eth populated by a mix of people. The sand tribes rarely concern themselves with the coast, mistrusting salt water. Settlements that have sprung up along the coast deal largely in sea trade, operating as stopover and trade ports. Although a D'ethi tribe may on occasion harass one of these coastal settlements they have learned that this is rarely worthwhile. Smaller settlements simply decamp out to sea with anything of value to the nomads and larger settlements are too well defended on the landward side. Many coastal settlements being established in natural coves surrounded by steep terrain, making horseback attacks (the preferred nomad tactic) ineffective.
