Ether

The Ether is often mistaken for one of the Spheres of Existence (being identified as the 'ethereal plane' or 'ethereal sphere') but is actually a field in which the spheres exist.
Nothing exists outside a sphere of existence but energy can travel through the Ether field and therefore travel between the spheres is possible.
